A tiny van based on the Goggomobil. One of the ads proclaimed: "Thought out in every detail: Goggomobil rapid transport, ideally for freight, which is too large for a car – and too small for a truck". First introduced to the public on October 1956 at the IFMA in Frankfurt. Production commenced because of the interest of the German Federal Postal Service from October 1957 until November 1965. Altogether 3,667 vans were produced, from which most (over 2,000) went to the German Federal Postal Service, naturally in yellow. The pick-up version was really liked by municipal road services, since it was very versatile with its open loading platform. For example pick-ups were used as snow plows with a sand thrower, or as street sweepers.
